Meet the Designer
Hi, I’m Shauna – Author of the Jade Haven blog! Here is a little about me and what I’m all about.
I am an eco-conscious, professional Interior Designer from Wexford, Ireland.
I have over 15 years experience in the Interior Design/Architecture industry.
For years, I have been obsessed with health, nutrition and wellness. I always saw it as a completely separate passion to my interest and work in design. During Covid, I came to the realisation that I could merge my interests together! And my new obsession became using interior design to enhance health!
By day, I work full time as a Designer for an international design firm on exciting commercial design projects across the globe. I have been lucky to lead the design on projects such as this one (Winner of 2 x International Design Awards) and this one (Irish Fit Out Awards Finalist 2019).
By night, I am developing this blog to share helpful interior design advice with a focus on promoting wellness and sustainability. I focus on natural, non-toxic materials and ways to help you create a healthy home.
I love researching and testing out sustainable and healthy products for my own design work, and I thought it would be great to share all the good stuff I discover.
I am doing my best to make more healthy and eco-friendly choices for myself and the planet, and I hope this blog encourages you to do the same!

Where did the name Jade Haven come from?
The name JADE HAVEN perfectly captures what I aim to bring to every design project.
JADE – a beautiful shade of green – is a nod to sustainability and “green” living. It is also a symbol of balance, harmony, and nourishment—all the things that make a space feel good.
A HAVEN is your safe space—a cozy, calming retreat where you can unwind and feel at peace.
Put them together, and you get what I believe every home should be: a safe, balanced, and nourishing space. With a focus on non-toxic and sustainable materials, let me help to create a beautiful and healthy home for you and your family.
